RD likes that, and I have it in my XL sheet already. Plan to take a look at it later. But "car dealership software" - how much money is in something like that - especially when the US automotive market is in shambles?

iam not invested in it but its a stock thats fits into your category small cap decent past yield  low pe.   i tend to beleive that most small caps remain small caps only very few do become the infy, hdfcs herohondas of the world.i also beleive that a rising tide lifts all ships big and small its when the tide blah blah  we know that   so buying small caps is no crime if one is making 10-18% upmoves in these stocks but timing an exit is of more importance unless one has the speed of  quick gun murugan one can be left sucking a lot of lemons when the party ends.

I am honing my "killing 5 gangsters with one bullet" skills. I do agree that exit strategy is the key. Hindustan Tin and ADF Foods are fast approaching my SELL levels, but are still not there yet. But when it does, the gains and the initial capital go straight into a debt MF, and stay there.

Anyway, the money I'm putting into these stocks is the money that is lying in liquid mutual funds getting 6% PA. As long as the stock remains a consistent or increasing dividend payer, it won't end up being a lemon - the stock price movement doesn't matter much.

Just like in a normal stock, the growth is not guaranteed -  in these stocks, the dividend is not guaranted. That's a risk one needs to keep in mind.

rising yields should be a matter of concern to all debt fund investors

tigershark do you have any idea about Logix Microsystems?

Their office is on my road....but somehow i've not managed to visit it's office yet. Asish Dhawan, co-founder of ChrysCapital has a lot of money on this one.
