Yeah holding on, and yes, there is a 50% gain. But Fame has underperformed the rest of the portfolio - especially the Adanis, Biyanis and the Ambanis.

But in case you want to five fold the value of your pf, you have to locate companies like Fame rather than the Adanis, Biyanis and Ambanis!!!!

Fiver eh? I have higher hopes from the chor gang of Adani, Biyani & Gaurs.

However, around 20% of my portfolio is now in Mahatma Gandhi type, non-violent type dividend yield stocks, and increasing.

Bought ADF Foods, a few days back.
www.adf-foods.com

This is a FMCG branded food company that makes ready to eat north/ south Indian food, masalas, pickles, instant mixes etc.

Market Cap: Rs. 67 crores
P/E: 6
Div Yield: 4%
RoE: 12%
4 Yr Sales Growth: 11%
4 Yr Profit Growth: 60%
FY09 Sales/Profits: Rs. 95 crores and Rs. 9.8 crores
Div/share from FY05 to FY09: Rs. 1.00, 1.00, 1.00, 2.00, 1.50

The only fly in the soup is that this is a 100% export company, targeting NRIs in USA, Europe, Middle east etc. That probably explains the snail like topline growth. Currency fluctuations can mess up the bottomline.

However, according to their latest annual report, they do plan to market their products in India too.

ADF Foods: Their flagship Brands is not owned by them. They are owned by some American company and there is litigation going on.

There are two flies in the soup then!

But Detective Google is not able to find any info on this litigation. Do you have any link pointing to this?

Also, ADF Foods annual report says -

As of 31 March 2009, the Company has no material litigation claims outstanding, pending or threatened against, which could have a material effect on the Company’s financial position or results of operations.

Results look neat - decent topline growth too!
