I read HBL, ET, BS but of late I have been finding that all relevant artciles are pit up on TED but we still haven't stopped getting our papers. Out of these I feel HBL is unbiased and makes sense(at current rates)Wink

BS is good for an investor...Never tried my hand on HBL..will surely check it out...ET is the best of all specially Corporate Dossier(CD),interesting tidbits on leadership, thats the crucial part of any individual human being. Mint is very comfortable for a commuter in a Mumbai local.

I find hindu Business Line very well researched. In particular the Sunday edition. Infact their IPO recommendation that comes every Sunday- i have rarely seen them going wrong. Further, their short term and long term calls are usually accurate. The others i find good are BS- specially the strategy section on monday and the smart investor section.
Live Mint is equally good. Personally, i hate anything from the Bennet and Coleman table.

I really wanted this to be a new thread in the Lounge section. But, it does not look like I am allowed to start one. So, I am including this in my portfolio thread. I would really appreciate it someone who is authorised can move this thread to the Lounge section.

What business magazine/weekly/daily is everyone reading?

So far, I have been getting Indian stockmarket information mainly from TED. On occasion, I go to http://www.economictimes.com - www.economictimes.com  or http://www.business-standard.com - www.business-standard.com . But I do plan to relocate to India within the next 2-3 months, and would love to subscribe to, ideally, a daily. Nothing beats having a newspaper in hand - not even a highspeed connection and a paid subscription to a website, or the idiot box. I guess I am really old fashioned that way.

So, What is a typical TEDdy's source of business information? Is there a business daily or other periodical of repute that comes highly recommended by TED?

Thanks, in advance.

I used to read ET everyday for the last 10 years. Last couple of months, I have shifted to Business Standard. ET has increasingly become frivolous in its choice of articles and quality of editorials. Business Standard that way is much better in terms of quality of journalism. I try to read HBL or Mint online but does not happen everyday.

ET has also drastically reduced the market stats provided.

Someone has also pointed out the the proprietors have some sort of agreement with some listed companies, a type of quid pro quo, which borders on the questionable.

Mint online consumes massive bandwidth Cry

I used to read ET daily for the past 15 months, but found its standard going down steadily. Have switched over to BL now.

BL and BS are educative in numerous economic matters, not just stocks.
