This is what i found and the thing is this company has bagged a big order

Last year during June or so one of my brothers who is in US sent me a
detailed mail to buy this share at Rs30/- and after going through the
Balance sheet I decided in the negative and it hit a series of Upper
Circuits and reached all-time high of Rs70/- and one analyst, if my
memory serves me right, Mr Prakash Gaba or Mr Tulsian very strongly
recommended this stock with an expected short term target of Rs110/- or
so. During the September , last year all the Small Caps received a
thrashing and after bearing the brunt of it, this stock like many other
Small Caps didnot recover and languishing at Rs40/- levels. Actually a
leading Telugu Daily Eenadu brought a detailed article on Simputer a
year ago and the articles is all appreciation for Mr Vinay Deshpande
and his spouse Ms Chaya , I suppose. Both are IITians and after an
illustious career in the US , they 've returned to India and stated
this Encore Software. This Simputer thing is envisioned to do extremely
well in the rural India because of its size and cost. But what I
personally feel it could not reach the target group as there is nil or
very negligible Computer Literacy in the Indian country-side.The
drastic and continuous decrease in the prices of PCs and high-end
system configuration for almost the same price of a Simputer , the
sales could not pick up.Afterwards, they forayed into the production of
Night Vision Goggles and other related equipment used exclusively by
the Defence Personnel and the order from our Government was a shot in
the arm of Encore but only for a brief while.If you want to invest now,
I sincerely suggest a Wait and Watch approach and if you are already in
this counter you act judiciously after analysing the level at which you
entered.I earnestly feel that there is little steam left in this scrip.
There is one scrip Sabero Organics, which was doing very well till very
recently ( I purchased a huge quantity at Rs14-/ and sold at Rs40/- )
and punished severely for one bad quarterly results and presently
available at its yearly low of Rs13/- or so. The September quarter
results are good and advise you to carefully study the scrip and take a
decision . The company’s champion product is Mancozeb , an eco-friendly
Fungicide.
Andhra Petro, however, is going to be a sure winner by April , 2007 and
this I suggest with authority as I visited the unit and talked to the
concerned and satisfied with their appraisal.The product cost is very
much enhanced and its is the only unit worth mentioning in the
manufacturing of Oxo-Alcohols.
One more Very promising scrip is Interworld Digital which is in the
line of Digital Cinema projectors ( a movie without reels and movie
will be exhibited via satellite, the scope of which cannot be explained
here ) which is quite an innovative product and it is already a
stupendous success in the Us and the West and there is a vast potential
for the same in India for obvious reasons.Janeman, a Salman and Akshay
starrer is recently released in this manner. Moreover, Interworld is
diversifying into film production and other allied activities and their
first movie Mr.Hot and Mr.Cool starring Zulfi Syed and Yash Pandit is
released last month and running satisfactorily. Last year, the company
has issued 2Crores of preferential shares of Re1. each at a whopping
premium of Rs4.50.The stock is also available at dirt cheap price and
it is surely going to be a winner soon. Mr Peeyush Agarwal of Vishesh
Infotechnics is on the Board of Interworld Digital.

The management background at Encore reinforces faith and belief. I have had an almost impeccable record of never losing money in companies that areb run by IIT/IIM grads, so if the overall business makes sense (to me it does a bit) one should buy. I think that in small caps the biggest danger is the management.
Interworld Digital also looks interesting. Reels start giving bad pictures after a few runs and this space should see some real activity. But the problem is whether these are leaders in their space?

I got a mail yesterday to buy Encore with price target of ...(look at number of dots), they will get defence order for their simputer..

I dont know but I dont understand why you guys are behind this stock, if you want to invest, look at companies like Mphasis bfl, next 2 to max 3 years they will do $1 billion revenue (Rs. 43 at that time) and if you look at this and take 15% margin(worts case) and giving 17 pe it will touch 4 figure mark.

By the way, it is interesting to note that as per dictionary, Encore is related to musical performance! Somehow chorus....encore....is there any relation?

Reetesh I am with you 100% on this Mphasis BFL is an excellent long term pick. EDS parentage will create sustained supply of work and surely this stock can go places. But the problem is people try and look at everything from PE/EPS basis and more often not that back fires.
Kulmanji: The "R" factor is behind this and yes it is by design.
