Topic: Cricket - Dada vs. Dadagiri!!! Posted: 30/Nov/2006 at 10:01pm |
Om:
I hope what you think and knows is correct, only looking at runs and say he is great I dont back that theory, thats why I rate Sachin as a okay player because we have to look at these records in context to how much that has helped Indian team performance check record and history. Lara, Ponting, Dravid are recent days great players and may be 1 or 2 more in my mind rather than both these "RECORD PLAYERS"...

I have checked all areas and then made my observation. That is why in my previous message I stated way in advance: "PERIOD". Also, try analyzing how many matches India has won, when Dravid has been the "captain" and performed well. Anyway, this debate will go on and on so am gonna end it here.
Let's just hope Indian Team beats S.A in Tests and then comes back home in 2007 with the world cup.

yes, if a match is to be constitute as "PERIOD", and that to I dont remember, and I am not comparing captains here. I am just talking about player an individual...

Well, I beleive what we are witnessing is only thanks to Greg Chappell and his laldla Rahul Dravid.... Saurav was dropped wrongly and picked up wrongly. But then that has always been the case with him.... He was dropped after just 1 match in World Cip 1992 and was picked up for English Tour in 1996 when nobody expected it.... but to his credit he did what was expected of him and the rest is history...Personally, I am Saurav fan and admirer of his captaincy...I may not be as much happy for saurav but i am very happy for Greg and his laldla... they are getting back for what they have sown.... Dirty POLITICS...
Reetesh, I dont know any insider information... but someway down the line, I beleive we need to throw this rotten egg called greg out of India.... he destroyed the fabric of the team and I am very unsure if Dravid is a man who can rebuild it... the ladla looks like a spineless fellow...and its no wonder that his captaincy is being exposed in this manner... its sad to see india lose like this but then I beleive supporting India just because its my country, is something which doesnt go down well with me...the ladla's contribution with the bat is something which we all appreciate ... BUT ALL THIS WHILE I HAVE BEEN A AVID CRICKET FOLLOWER OF INDIAN CRICKET, I HAVE NEVER COME ACROSS A SITUATION WHEN THE SELECTORS HAD DIFFICULTY IN PICKING UP THE BATSMAN FOR THE SQUAD..and I beleive its thanks to Greg and his ladla... the two has destroyed our team, and I am sorry to say we have no-one who can rectify the situation...and its in the top interest of our team that this rubbish combination of coach and his ladla is soon broken... personally, i will like to see the back of Greg but wont mind if the ladla is shown the door first...

incidentally, even as the news of gangully's selection was breaking out on TV channels, the sensex corrected from 90 plus odd levels to @ 40 plus levels.... a mere coincidence?

Yes catcall ji, I did see that unqiue co-incidence. However, I also found out 1 more thing: Finally(by the end), Not only did Sensex end at record highs, but Nifty too followed suit.
Well, as they say, "All's well that ends well" hehe
