This one is great company. Product range is very wide. Market is largely untapped, and hence, growth potential is very high. It is also a play on rupee appreciation as import content is very high in their product range. There is also a risk of de-listing due to very high prooter stake which also affects volume and liquidity.

Any opinion from members on this comapny being part of core long term portfolio?

Their closed attitude to shareholder queries did result in some commotion at their AGM in Bangalore last year. Nitin Jagtap was an eyewitness to that!

The company has not declared a single dividend till date. In terms of price performance - in 2000 its High/Low quote was Rs.815/Rs.412, while it is at Rs.1,540 today. Hardly an inspiring track record.

All is fine as far as the business is concerned in terms of high quality products, large untapped market, innovative products, etc etc issue is mainly when it comes to dividend/bonus , management is not clear on
why they havent done one so far, most of their policies are driven by the
head office I guess and so the Indian management doesnt and cant speak
much on these issues. Otherwise product range, marketing /distribution set up, cust service are all very good. They are mainly into trading business with margins upwards of 10 precent which is very good for a trading business. Some HNIs and real long term investors own this stock as I had met 3 diff analysts from small/unheard  brokerages (india and outside india) who also attended the AGM  to cover this company.
