Hi ALL,

I have got a demat account with ICICIDirect which is linked with a ICICI Bank saving account. So generally I get my dividend credited to my saving account in case of ECS or get check from companies. This time, a small amount got credited from Thermax Ltd as final dividend to my ICICI Bank on 24th July. I checked this in my ICICI Bank details.

To my surprise yesterday I got a mail from HDFC Bank saying that some dividend amount from Thermax has been credited to your ICICI Bank. But I do not have an account in HDFC Bank. But the amount they have mentioned is correct. Is there something phishing? Or HDFC bank is responsible for dividend credit for Thermax Ltd and Thermax has disclosed shareholders info to HDFC and HDFC Bank communicated the dividend credit to all the shareholders?

By the way is there anybody else also found such mail?
