I think much of this great performance came from sale of land to DLF. But new fertilizer plants too seemed to have helped.
Anyway, this scrip makes up about 8 per cent of my portfolio and if it doesn't boom immediately after opening I will add some. If it hits the stratosphere, I will sit back and enjoy the ride and may be look at other value offerings suffering from the quarterly virus....

DCM Shriram Consolidated net rises 56.15 times for Sep `07 qtr
DCM Shriram Consolidated, a diversified agribusiness and chemical company, disclosed phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended September 2007. During the quarter, the company experienced 56.15 times rise in profit to Rs 6,070.50 million from Rs 108.10 million in the quarter ended September 2006.
Net sales for the quarter declined 10.33% to Rs 5,974.60 million compared with Rs 6,663.60 million in the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Total income declined 11.26% to Rs 5,997.60 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 6,758.90 million for the same period last year.
The basic and diluted EPS after extraordinary item rose 56.29 times to 36.59 for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 0.65 for the same quarter last year......
