Hey Deepinsight, my  cousin  sister can be said to be a lucky investor, but the kind of faith she has, she will always do well  in equities.....she put all her hard earned money from salary at 84 levels in opto, saw it go down to 28, but from then onthe march has been so remarkable......she still has 1950 tickets of this blockbuster, which may be called peanuts, yet as basant says  its how serious money was the investment which counts....it was indeed very precious money to her at the time  she invested in that......if she wouldnt have sold she would have had 4000+tickets of opto......as far as opto goes, 342-345 was just a resistance on charts, it had to break that level true  to its character......it will go places!!!!

Deep, have you also looked at Advanced Micronic Devices......whats your take on this comapny, whuch is a subsidiary of Opto......I want to convert some of the legacy investment in HM into this....hows this???????

If HM is Hindustan Motors then any company is better then this one. Analysts like SP Tulsian keep talking about the land but everyone knows how serious C.K.Birla is towards Hindustan Motors.

hahahahaha........truly sir........you dont know how much i enjoy selling this non-sense called HM.....in calcutta, lots of brokers are really hopeful about this..........and talking about SP Tulsian, I can never forghet the day he said such things about GE Shipping when the demerger process had got halted.......by the way, wasnt he also bullish on sugar stocks????????? he talks like a pandit but he doesnt know that dhai aakhar prem kaa, which actually equities is all about......talking knowledgeably and logically and talking passionately are very different things, which people like tulsian and balliga have yet to develop......

Any one who listens to Tulsian for the first time would think how much knowledge he displays. He knows too many things about any company - sometimes seems to be an insider but has almost no results to show up for all that (worthless) work.

During the Harshad Mehta bull run (1992) I was in college and bought Motors for Rs 33 and sold out at more then a double here I am after 14 years looking at almost the same price. The only thing that has changed is the road reality - there are far too many models of cars on the road now.
