Diversification is protection against ignorance, it makes little sense for those who know what they’re doing.

'When i earn more than what i deserve, i can't sleep' ... humility.. :)

Life...

he  following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the  creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.
You don't have to actually answer the questions.
Just ponder on them.
Just read straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name  the five wealthiest people in the  world.

2. Name  the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name  the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

4  Name  ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name  the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name  the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.

These are no second-rate achievers.

They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies..

Awards tarnish..

Achievements are forgotten.

Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special
.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most credentials
the most money...or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most.

Pass this on to those people who have either made a difference in your life,
or whom you keep close in your heart, like I did.

'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It
s already tomorrow in Australia!'

''Be Yourself. Everyone Else Is Taken!"
We dont hv 2 be smarter then others v need 2 be more disciplined then others

'Success has little to do with qualifications, but PhD is essential'
'Outstanding results are not achieved through better resources or bigger budgets'
Rediff: September 12, 2011 12:04 IST

According to Prakash Iyer, PhD stands for Passion, Hunger and Discipline. He says that in order to be successful in life, one needs to be Passionate about what one wants, have a Hunger to work for it and the Discipline to keep up the work even in the face of adversity.
There is enough evidence to show that winning and being successful in life has little to do with academic qualifications.
So you may wonder why you need a PhD to achieve you goals in life and be the best you can be. Yes, you read it right. We all need a PhD.
PhD is the new mantra for success.
It stands for Passion, Hunger and Discipline! Get them all. And see the difference. Becoming a Passionate, Hungry and Disciplined person can put you on the road to realising your true greatness.

Passion
Do you enjoy what you do? Do you love your work?
It's extremely important that each of us can answer those questions with a resounding 'Yes!'
Passion helps ensure that you jump out of your bed every morning and get to work on your goals. Not because you have to, but because you love to.
Passion makes those long hours spent at work seem worthwhile because you are having fun, enjoying every moment. Outstanding results are not achieved through better resources or bigger budgets.
They are achieved by people madly, wildly, excited by their mission to be the best. Martin Luther King once said: "If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets just as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well."
Would they be saying that about you? Are you aiming to be the best "YOU" in the whole world?
It's nice to be able to do what you love. But it's important to love what you are doing!

Hunger
How badly do you want to win? Are you really, really hungry for success?
It's when you really want something that you start to go after it, and do all it takes to get it.
You must first want to win. Get hungry. And yes, no one else can feel hungry for you.
You've probably heard the story of the young man who went up to Socrates and said he wanted to get wisdom.
"Come with me," said Socrates and took him along to a river. Without any warning, Socrates pushed the man's head under water and held it there. The man did not know what was happening.
He struggled for air. He moved his head, flailed his hands desperately seeking to get his head above water for some air.
Socrates finally let go and asked him, "What did you want when your head was under water?"
"I wanted air," said the man. "Right," said Socrates, "When you want wisdom as badly as you wanted the air -- you will get it!"

Discipline
And once you have the passion and the hunger, you'll probably see a road emerge in front of you, leading you to your goals.
There will be obstacles on the way, there will be roadblocks, but you will need discipline to keep doing the right things, time after time after time.
You need discipline to stick to the path. Nothing of substance was ever achieved without discipline.
An Olympic Gold medal-winning gymnast was asked the secret of her success. Her response: "I practised when I felt like it. And also when I didn't!"
Success demands discipline. Slogging and staying the course -- particularly when you 'don't feel like it' -- is often the key to success.
That's it then. Never mind what you are doing now, commit yourself to becoming a PhD. A Passionate, Hungry and Disciplined person.
Success is calling. Are you ready?
Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful.

The Three Smart Cuts to Success...

In life, you need to ask yourself, What is our motivation when you get up from bed? Is it making pots of money??????????

You got it wrong. Everybody in this life gets what he deserves. Desires,  the type of environment we are raised in, the status of our family, the family in general along with the school, college and the education that we pick up from our vocational training and jobs. Most people do not have a targetted goal setting of the things they would like to accomplish. Without much ado, take a sheet of paper and write down if time and money were not the constraint what would you like to do with your life.

Money should never be the criteria.....as in one's job if one is proficient and a smart worker....money will take care of itself. Money is the by-product. The payments that we receive are directly related to the value we create in the lives of our co-workers and in the company's bottomline. The company will pay you a lot...if you are able to do wonders for your employers. The key is to sacrifice our short term interests for the longer term benefits of our people and the community at large. A magician recommended this exercise in any payment for the goods or the service received from fellow human beings, ' Money go intot his world, remove the suffering all around me, fulfill the people's desires and return to me a thousand fold'.

So getting down to our smart cuts....

1) The first smart cut to success is  'Just a Little Bit Extra'. We have seen how people in jobs work like 'donkeys' and just do not just think leave alone 'outside the box'. In life you need to bring improvements and a finishing orientation in your family life and work-place. Small changes over a period of time bring great improvements. As Ben Graham the father of investing observed: It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to get extraordinary results. Put your heart and soul into everything you do and as Swami Vivekananda said- 'Success will never elude you'. In life, you got to be prepared to bargain and be street smart. If you are embarrassed to ask, you will be embarrassed to receive.

2) The second smart cut to success is 'Increase Your Failure Rate'. As Napoleon Hill said, ' Behind every adversity or failure there is an equivalent seed of success or of greater benefit'. Everything that happens in your life is just the receiving of thoughts, emotions and letters ( similar to a Postman) of your actions in the past.  We shudder failure in exams and life. The key is to accept Failure and try to learn from all the ills that plague your life. We would not have improved or the world if it was not plagued by friction! Thus make a pledge to fail every day of your life and try to learn. As Charlie Munger put it,' Everyday I learn something new and grow wiser by the day'. To achieve success faster, double your rate of failure.

3) The third smart cut to success is 'Be Different'. Charlie Chaplin cultivated some exceptional traits of a character and acted the full emotions in his movies. The key is to always know that Society recognizes the exceptional qualities of persons like Michael Flatley who taps with his feet and has made millions in dollars.

Make a pledge to fail more, put a lot of effort in what you do at home and office.....together with ingenuity will catapult you to the top of your profession or vocation.
