I'll continue on the same lines to pick my next companies. As said in my previous post I work as an IT consultant and have implemented CRM applications (Siebel) for some Pharma companies and my next observation is that the demand for applications based on SaaS model is on rise. Many companies are scrapping their present web based CRM applications ( Siebel,Oracle CRM,SAP) etc and are moving to SaaS based systems(e.g. Salesforce.com, NYSE:CRM). The few advantages of a SaaS model are
1)No software or hardware to purchase, install or maintain
2)Rapid deployment
3)Simple, low cost implementation for multiple locations
4)No updates or upgrades to install

So the total cost of ownership is lower for a SaaS model.

If we scan the companies listed on Indian bourses a very few companies have built their own product based on SaaS model.
1) Infosys have 1 product called iEngage
2)Ramco Systems have launched OnDemand ERP

So we got very different kind(characterEmbarrassed) of companies in the same space. This saas product may turn the fortunes of Ramco Systems. Additionally Ramco have some aviation analytics product.

Keep digging...one day you will find the mineral beneath.

Well I do want Sensex to be higher as an investor, but I'm just saying its impossible to predict Sensex movement for even 1 year ahead. I mean experts were wrong about 2008 (25000!), many were generally wrong about 2009 (6000!). Generally we can say it will go up very well with the economy, but its a sign of bull market exuberance when the experts start putting numbers to the future. We just dont know right...

So translating that to English, I think you mean markets will fall and then rise again. Hey that's the only thing one can predict about the market :D

We are already seeing shortages emerge in Sugar, Cotton, Rice and Wheat in the global economy. While we are expected to have a bumper harvest in India for this year but due to lack of storage facilities and proper distribution mechanisms a case of "Surplus" would certainly become one of "shortages". While predicting the monsoon is fraught with risk for both the predictor and the predictees Shocked, I shall make out the case for that excessive rains last year would certainly lead to delayed monsoons and affect the Western and Southern part of India. Nowhere is the resilience displayed than failure of the monsoons a few years back but still production was not much affected and food production was good unlike in the olden days. The percapita availability of foodgrains has decreased compared to the 60's and the 70's. Congress "rats" seem to have a first preference over resources than the people. Whatever happened to the slogan "Congress ka haath garribon ka saath"!
