100% correct. Money and Fame are the two things that people keep running after but any idea as to how to call it quits after a point?

toughest question i have ever faced...fame and money should be outcome of certain activites which make our lives meaningful...but we try to run after fame and money and they elude most of the people....
when i had a cycle in school i always longed for a bike...because it was tiring to pedal cycle for tuitions.....then my parents bought a bike for me..i wanted a car because bike had no support for my back and no AC....then i bought a car for myself...now i want a merc...
the answer i think lies in expectation management....
subjects like emotional competence development....priority setting...goal setting....and expectation management should be taught after class 5 or so......

Tylerjee,
Follow Mahatma Gandhi philosophy and everybody would be happy.
There is no limit to our needs and aspirations, limit our needs and be contended with what you have, if you have a bicycle , look at the person who still doesnt have , if you have a penthouse, look at the people who r staying on footpaths and no home to stay and one would be happy and thankful to God for what he has given us.

i am trying something different......one should know his or her potential..his or her interests...his or her priorities in life.......and set his aspirations accordingly...say i have the potential to become next dhirubhai ...but i lack the passion and for me my top priority is my family...will it be wise for me to pursue business aspirations....
or lets say i dream big...my priority is to be a business tycoon...i have all the passion but i lack the potential ... then end result wud be disastrous again....
Iam trying the following:
1. Know your priorities
2. Know your Potential
3. Know your triggers
4. Set your goals accordingly...
5. Stretch a bit to achieve them...

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. And a verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. People are much more valuable than an old fence. They make us smile. They help us succeed. Some will even become friends who share our joys, and support us through bad times. And, if they trust us, they will also open their hearts to us. That means we need to treat everyone with love and respect. We need to prevent as many of those scars as we can."
