Rise of IFCI is best seen as sector call.

Yes, that is true Vipul ji.
The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it

Vipul,

I have been reading your posts silently for quite sometime. I like the hold you have over this sector. By any chance have you stumbled across SREI Infrastructure as an investment idea? Its an NFBC dedicated solely to play the infrastructure story in India...which i believe is up for serious makeover over the long run - just thinking of the huge construction activities happening in the public domain.

I guess you would have already done your study, just wanted to know your views on this.

Thanks

----------------
No study for it although I know little bit of this. As I said before all (good, bad, ugly) companies in right sector generally outperform the market. But there are little problem with financial sector. It is rise of interest rate. Financial sector is first hit by rise/fall of interest rate and first to recover as-well. Rest of the industry follow it with delta lag. Interest rate scare is quite real unlike most ppl imagine.
But still in rise of interest scenario, financial sector is best bet. When cost of money increases existing assets start yielding more. Although it will not compensate fully for slow-down in new asset yields but it provides cushion.
In light of above idea, SREI Infra could be a good bet. Remember in any company management integrity is foremost important. One should never put money in chor managements. I guess you can study more about this company and let all TED know the findings ..Approve

psimajin,
CouldN'T get to the post you were directing to - about SREI's management. Pg 130 just posted one msg about SREI that "T Row N Price have bought some XYZ quantity" - so what?? - i bought it quite before them ! Wink

Vipul,
Yes surely i would do some research on SREI and get back. Maybe I can put some lines and leave you and basantji to read between those lines Smile

Cheers
