Investing in real estate is good if you identify the right location and get in as an early bird. You can get around 35% IRR in 5 to 10 years if you are assumptions are right.
However, this also could create liquidity issues as you cannot get in and get out due to high registration charges and black money component. If you buy an apartment, you can get rental income which is like dividend for your stock investment.
