I feel  an investor instead of spending time to obtain a degree should concentrate on investing with the application of common sense.

Welcome to TED. With the kind of markets I doubtr if that course will have any takers now. But instaed of putting your time and effort there I urge you to read some books on the subject that is worth more then a PHD.

PhD can help you get some plum job as Wealth Manager when Mungeris return to mkt, reading books and gaining knowledge maynot :)
