They are not bound to do so, but at least, anything repayable in the current year, should be given as an information by way of a foot-note in the Schedules.

Vivek Bhai, thanks for clarifying.

This is one of the things i like about Ranbaxy...they mention when debts are due.

I think this disclosure is mandatory in US.

Hi Vivek,

I am new to the equity desk and I am so glad that I found this forum. Its unlike any other investor forum and I get the feeling that members are generally appreciative of the art of investing and out there to genuinley learn, help each other and also make money in the process.

I have a question about annual report. I am working on Aban Offshore Ltd. and as I go through their 2007-2008 annual report I see that on page 12 all great looking charts pertain to Aban Offshore Ltd. (AOL) but the table below on the same page pertains to the group. Now the consolidated financial statement shows a loss for the group as a whole in 2006-2007 but AOL made a profit.

Isn't that a little misleading? Shouldn't I be disregarding AOL but focussing on the consolidated statements that include various subsidiaries. Also, if I got moneycontrol.com, they list AOL data but not the consolidated group data. I am a little confused and I will appreciate any help in this matter.

Just a suggestion / request:

If someone finds an annual report particularly illuminating, feel free to mention it here!

The strike gold offer by Archidply Industries seems like a nice gimmick.

I was really disappointed that Hawkins did not send me any discount coupon.

Can someone please post some of the companies which post gift coupons?
Maybe we should start a thread.....
