 What Does Price/Book Value Indicate

Valuation attractiveness of a company

Price/Book Value is the price paid for the company’s assets

Lower the price-to-book value, more attractive the investment opportunity

However, price-to-book value should not be looked at in isolation

The quality of the assets, profitability, return on equity, should also be considered

To achieve satisfactory investment results is easier than most people realize ; to achieve superior results is harder than it looks .

No Sirji, I stay away from electric companies which promise to give electrifying returns and give a shock instead. As far as shipyards go, have never bothered to even look at them, for I have enough of shipping with me. They can do well only if shipping does well, and in case shipping does bad, no one will shed a tear for these shipyards.

Proportionately re-adjust book-value and DPS with the bonus ratio.

Take dividend to be 10*2/3
And Book value to be 153*2/3.
