Hi,

In order to divert everybody's attention from the stock market, I propose to start a new topic where everybody can discuss their interests and hobbies (except investing, which obviously is a common interest).

Starting with me, my main interest is reading books. Whenever I get some spare time - whether it is a 15 minute train journey to my office or half-an-hour before going to bed or when I am lying down in the bath-tub - I like to read something. My favourite books include The Alchemist, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Les Miserables, Five Point Someone, Siddhartha, Tintin Series, Asterix & Obelix Series, Agatha Christie novels - to name a few. Currently reading "The Big Four".

In my school days, philately used to be my passion. But once I started my college, I got less and less time to devote to my hobby. And gradually my priorities changed as job, marriage, kid, etc happened and the hobby gradually faded away. I have kept my collection safely and one day I intend to start giving it some time again.

My other interests include watching sports (cricket, snooker & tennis), internet surfing, etc.
Things I don't like are shopping (it's good my wife doesn't follow TED ), parties, watching soaps.

Fellow members, please share your likes & dislikes.

Abhishek.

Actually I am a cricket buff! Like to watch any match. Books is another hobby but of late not reading any thing but have taken a printout of the Warren Buffet school of Investing which Teddies have created spearheaded by Kulmanji.

Don't like going out for dinners, movies etc think that I am wasting time by doing something unproductive!!!

But whenever I am out to a Mall I can be found checking the crowds rather then the stock!

By crowd I hope you mean checking the number of people buying items in the stores and not checking out the "cute" crowd in the cafes.

My major passion is internet surfing, basically to keep searching for unconventional things and at other times stuff related to humor. Reading used to be my passion long time back, but have not done some good reading for a while now.
The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it

Nitin,
What do you think of Zarkava and its unbeaten run ?
