Looks too pessimistic. Dont know what is the basis of calculation. They have a number of outsourcing projects lined up which would ensure regular cash flow. Also, currently 2 movies are under co-production.

As per the management guidance for the year ending March 2009, they are expecting -

Net Revenues: Rs. 183 crores
Net Profit: Rs. 38.4 crores
EPS: Rs. 38 (without equity dilution)

For year ending March 2008, they are expected to post Net revenues of about Rs. 100 crores with EPS around Rs. 20.

Earnings Estimate(Management Guidance)

                     FY07-08     FY08-09       FY09-10      FY10-11

Revenues:    103 crore      183 crore        240 crore      315 crore

Profit:           21.5 crore     38.4 crore       63.5 crore     82.5 crore

EPS for FY07-08 is expected to be about Rs. 20.

Source: Reuters

The forecasts excludes earnings from its unit MediaOne Ventures Ltd., which is expected to list on AIM in May 2008.

This translates to approx 60% CAGR(average) for next three years which is good enough and should be more. They have indicated that this figure is with existing projects & this can increse if they receive any new projects. Growth in FY11 numbers are lower probably because of lack of visibility of projects in coming years.

Hope they are able to deliver on the lines of the guidance.

To followers of CDisc:

1) When is Compact Disc presenting their annual results for FY08?

2.1) How is the dividend yield scenario in Compact Disc?

2.2) What is Compact Disc's Book value...latest one!! Or expected Book Value for FY08

3) Considering an EPS of Rs. 20 for FY08, why is Compact Disc trading at a measly PE of 3-4. What is a reasonable CAGR to be expected out of Compact Disc over next 3-5 years. Reasonable and not optimistic!!

4) How serious a player is Compact Disc in the gaming industry? And what are its plans for the gaming industry??!(if any)

The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.A temperament that neither derives great pleasure from being with the crowd nor against it

Sir I can only hope like you, to achieve the targets. I think it is relatively easier for this kind of business FOR CDIL to set higher targets
I am eagerly waiting for the next anouncement of CDIL.
