LOL ha ha....and the discussion continues...

Mungerilal: "Yaar Jack you track US markets also. Tell me what's this Discount Window?

Jack: "The discount window is an instrument of Fed's monetary policy that allows eligible institutions to borrow money from Fed, usually on a short-term basis, to meet temporary shortages of liquidity caused by internal or external disruptions. The discount rate is like your RBI's Repo rate.

Mungerilal: "Is that so? I used to think that when those insolvent banks go there & markets discounts the news by throwing their shares out of the window."

Jack: "Bu$%^#....you talk like Johny"

Mungerilal: "Bh$%&....seems that I'm learning a bit from Bunty"

Everyone surely does.......

However, I believe we wont have that many holidays in our markets. Hopefully, by that time markets would have become more sane. Lets see....

Enjoy your holidays....

Bunty: "Papa.....For those Financial Stocks what it does it mean by valuing based on P/B."

Mungerilal: "Bunty Beta......it's Price to Book value. The lesser the ratio the better it is."

Bunty: "Hmmmmmmmm....sounds logical. But looking to the over-agressiveness of some bankers to grow & their insatiable greed I was wondering whether the ratio means Price to Bhookh."

Mungerilal: ".Angry... Bh$#%^....Shocked"

Bunty: "Gaali waali bahut ho gaya. Tell me honestly, aren't you sh*t scared about tomorrow's market opening?"

Mungerilal: "Dead..."

Bunty: "Papa.....Good morning! Today our school closed early because the Headmaster & few teachers were not feeling well due to Markets mayhem. So what's the news?...you look worried as usual"

Mungerilal: "Bunty Beta......Fed rate cut was the 1st on a weekend since 1980's."

Bunty: "What's the big deal? Look you also prefer to go to the barber on Sundays. So what if Bernanke uncle cut his on a weekend?"

Amazing. Market is down by 733 points while i read Kulman's post. If only Bunty had given some indications abt the magnitude of the fall.

People who were involved on the long side of F & O are wiped off with today's fall. Seems like that.

I have heard people losing whatever they had made in last three four years. Markets can be v v risky and brutal for a person who does not know what he or she is doing. All the new comers, most probably will go back to their profession, the markets will become boring... , the person who does his homework will eventually win. Just like schoool going student.

Best wishes,

I love my money, not my opinion. So i am ready and willing to change my opinion for the sake of protecting my money.
