Johnny says considering the no of inexperienced analysts who keep coming on TV and writing those beautiful reports its a classic case of supply exceeding demand and so their advice comes so cheap. Smile

In wake of the new IPOs from the KB stable  ..Johnny probably realises that investing in a loss making company and hoping it will turn profits ..is like venturing too much into the future ...instead he has suggested to go into for the Future Ventures IPO. Wink

Bunty: "Papa....How do those analysts value Banking stocks?"

Mungerilal: "Bunty beta....Some popular methods are Price to Adjusted Book Value and other ratios like P/E, RoE and RoA."

Bunty: "Hmmm.....why don't they use P/S ratio?"

Mungerilal: "You mean Price to Sales ratio, Bunty?"

Bunty: "No Papa. I mean ratio of number of People employed to the number of Security guards deployed!"

LOL ha ha ....

You are probably right.

The crux of the matter however is the sum total & end result which unfortunately is either negative or zero for Mr. Lal.

As Warren Buffett told Emory students: "You can’t have any zeroes. A list of big numbers multiplied by zero will equal zero. You can’t go back to “Go”."
