Hello,

I am Pankaj and work in the supply chain domain. Came across this site and found out to be quite amazing. Most of all it struck a chord with my kind of thinking.

I have been a late entrant in investing and being cautious read Warren Buffet, Phil Fischer and Lynch before getting into the markets.

But markets have a way of charming you and made lot of mistakes and also some good judgements. Don't know if those were just because the markets were going up.

Have also come to realize that concentrated portfolios give the best returns but don't have the stomach to ride the roller coaster of a concentarted portfolio. So, have veered around the principle of 80:20 and working towards putting 80 percent of the money in 20 percent of the stocks and keep the rest of the stocks on the radar screen.

Don't assure that I would be a voracious contributor but would chip in occasionally with my learnings (mostly mistakes) so that others might avoid.
Jus to start with the first mistake. I will not call it a mistake as at that point in time I was not into investing. While working for an auto company in the SCM domain we could increase the inventory turnover substantially.
The unsold vehicles occupied a huge area but slowly it started to come down. The company was on the cusp of a big change but sadly I could not benefit. Reading Lynch opened my eyes and since then have been frutifully more observant

Great work Basantji and others.

Best Regards,
Pankaj
