Wow! That was quite a self test to undertake we take it in the cattori but if the other lot are not banias then are they kshatriyas? There were only 4 castes in India.
 
But Devesh and you have some real decent knowledge on the Marwari community especially that amras one.

The trader caste always belonged to the Vaishya class I know that. But Vishwamitra was a kshatriya who become a brahmin for the "Gayatri mantra". Caste-wise, business people should belong to Vaishya class. Let's see what Bubble ji has to add...

I dont know the exact., Kshatriyas or not.....However what I know is that all marvari's are Agarwals.

Damani's are Marwaris too....two of my friend are Damani and they are marwari...
