Catalyst for the page is i believe is convincing the female segment. Its a very difficult domain for branding and still untapped, branded laungary segment is still for high class with fancy tag.

One big change i noticed was that i saw a higher proportion of ladies in the store

I also chatted with the store owner who was a bit reserved about discussion his margins, but mentioned that business is good and they expect to have a much better future ahead...The best part is i forgot to pick up my altered tracks and these guys came to my home and dropped it

It's just amazing how they're looting folks just by branding so well.

Finances aside......I think this might be a better business than even Hawkins.

I realized i should do more research in shops rather than on my computer....

Thanks. It seems there is an underlying demand/trend which should continue for the forseeable future. Its a beaty to see businesses building out on their premise/potential.

@subu76

I second what you had to say. I visited the nearby garments store in Bangalore on a Sunday and within a half an hour time frame i saw at least 4 people purchasing  undergarments. Interesting thing was that the shopkeeper said that most people actually ask specifically for Jockey and that there was good demand for their offerings. This was something i had only read on TED but now have experienced first-hand

This remains a solid business to own irrespective of what the promoters are selling for and we have spent too many days playing this music. Haven't we?Confused

The reason why we need to keep an eye for things like promoter selling etc is that we do not have access to a lot of insider information about the business. Hence we can never be fully sure of the completeness of our analysis as it is ultimately based on publicly available information only.

Its true, though, that promoter selling need not necessarily suggest something wrong with the company. The promoters might be selling for meeting certain personal expenses / for diversification etc.
