Tasty Bite - I entered this stock over 2 years ago (in the mid 20's). The stock has since run-up/retraced its moves a few times and is now in the mid-60s. When I analyzed the management team and their history at execution, I felt that the company (as against the stock) had potential to grow into a large player in the packaged ethnic food business. While the company has taken a longer time than I would like to get to where it is now, I believe it is now at an inflection point with enough critical mass to take it to the next level.
Kopran - A company in distress but I believe the turnaround potential is substantial. The strength of the foreign investors on the board lends strength to my thesis. While the Indian promoters may not necessarily have the best track record with respect to investing public, I believe Clearwater will make sure the restructuring is completed successfully.
Kerala Ayurveda is another company I believe has not be fully appreciated by the market. They have been making the right moves in terms of hiring people and striking alliances. A matter of time before they make it big?
To be clear about my investing strategy, I have part of my money in mutual funds (equally divided between indexed and actively managed).
