Following are Bejan Daruwalla and his team predictions:
The global economy is not completely out of recession. The recession started in January 2008 and now we can safely say that the the worst is over. However the recovery will still take a long time and there are a few patches of turbulent times before the economy will fully recovers. I presume that the world economy will be out of the blues by 2011.
There will be a correction around the second half of October, 2009 after which the market will be somewhat afloat. I foresee a correction once again in the second and third week of January, 2010 (around the period of Makar Shankaranti) and the markets position will be very crucial during the first half of April 2010. During the first 20 days of May, 2010 the market breadth will be negative wherein the market will seem healthy however these may be false sentiments. The market will show a negative trend during the last quarter of 2010 creating a panic amongst the investors. In short if we are to summarise:
After 17 October 2009: Correction
05-01-2010 to 21-01-2010: Correction
02/04/2010 TO 16/04/2010: Very Crucial
02/05/2010 TO 19/05/2010: Market breadth negative
30/09/2010 TO 01/11/2010: Negative trend
07/12/2010 TO 31/12/2010: Panic amongst investor
Sensex: Maximum 18500 and Minimum 13200
Nifty: Maximum 5500 and Minimum 3900
Sensex will touch 50,000 mark in 5 years fro now.
Best performing Sectors:
- Pharmaceutical
- Energy
- Banking
- FMCG
- Media
What is your take on sectors like realty and retail that have taken a beating?
Mars, the karaka planet for realty was is in Gemini till 5th October which is an inimical house and then transits to Cancer on 06th October which is its fall sign. Similarly Venus, the karaka planet for Retail is in Leo till 10th October
2009 which is its inimical house after which it will transit to Virgo, which is its fall sign. Hence these two sectors have been afflicted and are bound to remain so in the next year.
Yes equity markets are improving and commodity markets will maintain their upward trend.

2010 and Beyond
Following is numerology analysis:
The Mayans predictions of the end of the world in December 21,2012 is essentially signifies the regeneration of the world. Some predictions were made of the earth stopping in rotation for a few days and rotating reverse. Predictions are also being made of collapse of manmade systems etc. One does not know how much is true?
The US was declared independent in 1776. The compound number is 21 and is favourable. The crown is attained after a long fight. There were 9 cycles in this period leading upto the period 1950 when the US was acknowledged as a superpower. It is academic knowledge that the US is on a declining phase. The numerology of USA Comes to 10 which indicates if intentions are good one will see favourable results.
China
It’s independence in 1949 gives the compound number 23. It indicates help from superiors and protection in high places. China gives a 15 which is very favourable number. However three cycles have passed in the period 1949-2011 and further three cycles from 2011-2030 may see some problems in China. As a dictatorship China as a country will use every good or bad (even of the worst kind) means to achieve his goal which may lead to it’s decline.
India
The numerology comes to 12 or 3. The number is a unfavourable one as it Indicates sacrifice or victimization for the plans or intrigues of others. Whether it was Nehru supporting China candidature to get a permanent seat or not using airpower in the 62 war when the Chinese air-fleet was grounded. Throwing the leg on the axe is a metaphor for these results.
However the year of Independence of India which is1947 will still give the same results as the US chart after a prolonged fight. Superpower is for the taking. Coming to shorter cycles of 6-12 years in the period 2013-2031 will see India being acknowledged as a superpower. The period of 1947-2013 had 21-24 year cycles.
Wars In India took place when the numbers 3 and 9 were influencing it. The wars with Pakistan in 47, 65,71 or the war with China in 62. The period 2010 may see some skirmishes with China and Pakistan.
The assassination of Indian leaders in ‘48 of Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru’s death in ’64, Indira’s in ’84 or Rajiv’s in ’91 were influenced by the numbers 2 and 4. 2011 is a critical period for Rahulji and Soniaji. The number 17 stands for Peace and Love and is a spiritual number. And the name will live on. Priyanka Gandhi name analysis signifies Universe and is a powerful combination if she becomes the PM of India.

3 and 9 are significant nos relating to wars. But 9 was a bloody one as in ‘62 or ’71. Who can forget the proxy war of Pakistan in 89 which has brought terror to the doorstep of every Indian. A bloody war could ensue in 2016 while a mild border tensions could happen in 2010 just as in the case with The Chinese crossing into Indian borders. One could see what happened in 2001 in Kargil. The Genesis of 3 as outlined earlier relating to mild wars can be traced to 1857 Sepoy Mutiny which comes to 3. The Battle of Plassey in 1757 was part of the European countries Seven Year War from 1756-1763. We seem to be influenced by 2 again.
2009 and 2011 pose threats to Indian leaders. Lal Bahadur Shastri’s death in January 11,1966 was a suspicious death as the number 4 is present.However the impact of 2 and 4 have lessened. 2 and 4 pose significant natural disasters. Bhopal Gas leak disaster in 84, drought in the beginning of 21 st century to floods in Karnataka and AP this year.(said to be once in 10,000 years) to the Oil depot fire of Indian Oil. Just like 2009, 2011 will see natural disasters.

The BSE was formed in 1875. Surprise! We get another 21. After four cycles we get 1968. Was it not the start of a bull market? Then we get 1992 a phase of bearish market sets in. Since the new millenium begins, we could take the last two digits. We get 2003- the start of a bull market, 2008- the correction. The bull market in commodities could end by 1999-2016. The average period for commodity bull runs where wars were not an issue was 16 years. Indian equities will boom till 2018 after which correction could happen. Oil prices could dampen the boom in 2011 and 2015. Oil vibrates to a 4.
Taking the date of reconstitution of Sensex it is 1986. We get 2010,2013,2019. Some innovations will take place in the capital market.

GOLD=17 No wonder! People since ancient times are obsessed with gold. No.8. Look at 4 and 8. 2011 and 2015 especially will see major rise in gold prices. Chinese could shift a large portion of 2 trillion surplus to gold and other currencies.
SILVER=20. Watch out for 2011,13,15.
