The cricket selectors do not seem to want to let go of the senior cricketers. I watched the last match Inida lost against Pakistan and was saddened to see the team strategy wherein they sent Rahul Dravid (I feel he should not be there in the team) in the first 15 overs and when your team needs more than 6 runs per over Dravid scored miserably. What is the use of scoring 75-77 at a poorly scoring rate especially in the first 15 overs?

Instead of looking to the future, the selectors have looked to the past by selecting Dravid instead of rohit sharma who according to me is a much better one day player and a probable match winner and a fabulous fielder. I fail to recall when last Dravid won a one day for India.

Now that he has scored more than 75 runs he will be able to stick to the team for a few more games.

Sad thing about Indian cricketers is that they don't know how and when to say goodbye. They have to be pushed out of the team after stellar careers.

Greg Chappel was asked why he retired when he was at the prime of his career and he replied that he wanted the people to ask him "Why retire now" instead of "Why not retire now?"
