Hi Shadows,

Regarding Jupiter Bio, the company has been clocking good results since a long time but somehow catches market fancy only when there is a roaring midcap and smallcap rally which seems to be missing currently.

It manufactures drug intermediates, especially peptides. It has got a good product called Revitress gel marketed by a subsidiary called Sven Genetech which is to arrest hair fall especially in women and the company people claim it to be no.1 product in women's hair loss category, although I doubt it. Sven also has other prescription products although how much it contributes to the overall revenues and profitability remains to be checked.

I think Ranbaxy had taken some stake in the company and what happened after Dai Ichi takeover I don't know.

Charts wise, the stock needs to close above 91-92 (its earlier high in July09) with convincing volumes to give a good rise.
Stockmarket is a weird place. For every person who buys a stock there is a person who sells it and both think they are very smart.

Bought this one 3 months back.

You should probably hold beyond Rs. 120 too - Jupiter Bio (along with Unichem Lab) is one of the least expensive pharma stocks.
