PTL ENTERPRISES

Earlier known as Premier Tyres Ltd, the company belongs to the Raunaq (Apollo Tyres) group. Since 2006, the company has leased out its property to Apollo Tyres on an 8 year lease at a rental which currently is 26 crores per year.

Promoters hold around 72 % stake in the company and at the current market price of around 15(FV Rs 2) , the market cap is around 95 crores. The company has debt of around 53 crores.

The company has subsidiaries in each of which it has around 87 % stake namely, Artemis Health Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Artemis Medicare Services Pvt. Ltd., Artemis Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Artemis Mediequipments Pvt. Ltd. and Artemis Medical Institute & Hospitals Pvt. Ltd.

The company through its subsidiary has promoted the Artemis Health Institute in Gurgaon, which is a state of the art running hospital . It is one of the country’s most advanced technology hospital having state of the art imaging equipment including PET’CT Fusion Imaging , 64 Slice CT Angiography and various other equipments for advanced therapy for all the major specialities. Details can be seen by searching google for Artemis health institute. According to my info, it is one of the two best hospitals in Gurgaon, namely Paras Hospital and Artemis Health Institute.

Regarding financials, PTL has clocked EPS of 1.68 for March 09 versus 1.43 for March 08. Dividend of 40 paisa per share was declared for fy 09.

Investment in the stock is a play on the value unlocking likely to occur once some kind of divestment of stake of the hospital is contemplated, either through public issue or PE placement. The share upside is dependent upon the kind of valuations assigned to the hospital venture.

The share had made a high of 36 during Jan 08 and fallen to levels of around 6 during Dec 08 to March 09 period and currently at around 14-15 levels. Stock could be a value unlocking play as the hospital is functional currently.

ANYBODY WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTRIBUTE.

An outlaw motorcycle club (sometimes known as a motorcycle gang) is a type of motorcycle club that is part of a subculture with roots in the post-WWII USA, centered on cruiser motorcycles, particularly Harley-Davidsons and choppers, and a set of ideals celebrating freedom, nonconformity to mainstream culture, and loyalty to the biker group. These clubs are not sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and do not adhere to the AMA's rules, but instead, generally, the club enforces a set of bylaws on its members that derive from the values of the outlaw biker culture.

The U.S. Department of Justice defines Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs as organizations whose members use their motorcycle clubs as conduits for criminal enterprises. Both the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Criminal Intelligence Service Canada have designated four MCs as Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMGs), which are the Pagans, Hells Angels, Outlaws MC, and Bandidos, known as the "Big Four". These four have a large enough national impact to be prosecuted under the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute. The California Attorney General also lists the Mongols as an outlaw motorcycle gang. The FBI asserts that OMGs support themselves primarily through drug dealing, trafficking in stolen goods, and extortion, and that they fight over territory and the illegal drug trade.
