This site should be made aware to those people who r hesitant to invest in stock market.I know my aunt who suffered losses during 2000 has stopped investing in it.What i like about this site:
1) genuine discussion.Wide variety of views.
2) greatest investors like Warren Buffet.i have heard abt this man but not so comprehensive until i came to this site
3)its not just about stocks but some humour too
4)Basantji and Samir Arora have become my idol by sharing his investing strategies and learnings
5)Not to forget Mungerilals
6)There r so many stocks in the market but the point is who will outperform the others.
7)It also focus on Global factors

Every aspect of investing is discussed here.Thank you Basantji and other members for starting and contributing to this terrific site.Thumbs%20Up

Thanks a lot for those words. I do get PM's stating why we do not discuss Cement, Steel and SHipping companies here. You know it is very tempting to look for new ideas but I think our competency lies in what we know best. SO while we are covering only about 30% of India's market cap (No oil, cement, steel, refineries) the objective is to make returns whether it comes from one stock or three or thirty. I think this site could be very powerful in the days to come if we manage to maintain the standards that we have set for ourselves.

ABout that IPO thing don't worry guys we would have ESOP's valued on the number of posts. Buffet and Mungerilal posts would carry more weightage. Ahhh!!! I can see Kulmanji smile as he reads through this.Smile

Then the shareholding pattern may be like this:
Basantji - 70%
Kulmanji - 15%
Rest will be minority shareholders
I m happy as long as i m a shareholder!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Embarrassed

I had never imagined that those silly jokes & sillier remix songs were so valuable!!!

On a serious note, there is no doubt that TED is different & slowly a kind of 'bonding' has been developing amongst TEDies. The quality of analysis & discussions here are un-parelleled, and I really mean it.

My wish is that maybe, someday in near future we all shall meet together in person! Venue could be decided as per mutual conveniece & the occasion could be anything, such as wedding of-the-most-eligible- bachelor-TEDdy!

I think its very difficult.TEDies r from different parts of the world, from USA to Swiss to UAE. Atleast ppl from India can meet. From India too we have from North,South,West,East.

Now that is what we call National Integration. No wonder they say it is so difficult.
