TTK has announced a delisting. The current market cap is around Rs. 145cr. The real estate value of the company is worth this much.   The business is taking off with the big store push in the recent past. The retail business is worth Rs. 300cr to 400cr.  So the total market cap of the company should be in the ball park of Rs. 500cr. Do do not sell at  the current market cap of Rs. 145cr.

as per my information ( based on the special resolution notice i recd  a week back) they are doing a buy back of upto 25% of the equity at a max price of 120 per share.

my understanding is that as per SEBI rules ,a company cannot delist for at leat 2 years after doing a buy back.

i would be thankful if you could pls share the source of the delisting info.

i agree that it reprsents an excellent value buy.It has liquid investments of 40 cr (cash bank balance + investments of 53 cr less 13 cr debt ).

market cap is 78 cr .

its a bit and pieces company and the major business segments are :
1)FMCG: EVA deodrants, Woodwards gripe water
2)distribution: distribution of Durex / Kohinoor condoms (manufactured by TTK-LIG)
3)pharma: allopathic + herbal
4)Animal welfare products
5)Bio-Medical devices:largest domestic manufaturer of heart valves. They are getting into manufature of Coronary Heart stents within a year. ( product design & validation has been completed)
6) Publications(Maps) & food (launching ready to eat snacks under the brand 'Yummies'.

the key segment to watch for is the the Bio-Medical devices which has been growing revenues and profitability @ 50% over the last 2 years and has a growing addressable market.

If you buy for a non-value reason, you will end up selling for a non-value reason.

Hi,

Any news on TTK Prestige delisting? In January there was a buzz but it did not take place.

Meanwhile I am holding the stock for its fundamentals. Results for fy 09 to be declared on 30 June. 9month eps at around 16 and full year expected around 20 or more. They have been consistently reducing debt since last five years. Growth in sales and profits is also good.

After hawkins, dekhte hai iski siti kab bajti hai? Any views or news?
Stockmarket is a weird place. For every person who buys a stock there is a person who sells it and both think they are very smart.

I like both TTK Healthcare and TTK Prestige. Delisting has been postponed indefinitely as I understand.

TTK Healcare makes heart valves which took 12 years of R & D including trials. That is a moat product, also they market Woodwards gripe water for babies - over 100 years old brand.

No customer would like to bid low on these products - they have pricing power.
