The detailed manner in which Basantji explained his rational reasons for owning both Page and Hawkins were refreshing. The idea that stocks represent part ownership in a business, and if the business does well and throws off a lot of cash as dividend, then the stock will do well is something that will stick in my mind forever. 
I was reminded of the similarity with Samir Arora in the way the arguments were made for both stocks and a day earlier for holding companies discussion.

Congratulations Basant ji,
I missed the live TV show but watched the video on moneycontrol.com
I could sense your passion for analysing a company. I felt you enjoy more in analysing a company than making money out of those companies.
I remember a speech of NR Narayan Murthy of Infy who said "If you are passionate about your work, money will follow you, Never be passionate to make money".

Why did they cut the video at the end though? So rude.
The most hilarious part was Udayan's expression at the end, and Mitali, dumb and unaware, as usual LOL.
