Good post. I have small experience to tell you. In 1998 I was at the Delhi Airport, in the far corner  I saw a blue turbened sikh standing all alone, probably waiting for some body. As I walked upto him I was not really sure who this gentleman was so I enquired "Dr Singh....?" The reply was a meek low decibal "Yes.." Immediately I forwarded my boarding pass to him for an autograph and he obliged. What impressed me about the man was his humility as I started to walk off it was Dr Singh who innitiated a handshake. Normally had it been for some other politician or a celebrity they would be too eager to turn their back on you but that was Dr Manmohan Singh and probably that is why it was different.
